SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Mississippi Poultry Association scholarships are awarded annually.

The deadline for all 2026 scholarship applications is February 28, 2026.

Mississippi Poultry Foundation Scholarships

The Mississippi Poultry Foundation awards four scholarships to students who are either pursuing careers in the poultry industry or to those whose families are members of the Mississippi Poultry Association. Four scholarships of $4,000 each are awarded to deserving applicants based on their application. Extra points are awarded to children or grandchildren of MPA members majoring in poultry science and live in Mississippi.

These Association scholarships are awarded annually. The deadline for all  scholarship applications is February 28, 2026. 

After you have completed the application page and clicked next, you will be asked to attach your essay, resume and copies of transcripts from all schools attended. Direction will be provided for your references to submit their letters.

To be considered for the MS Poultry Foundation scholarship, a student must:

  • Be a graduating high school senior enrolling in a college or university in Mississippi
  • Currently enrolled in any Mississippi college or university as a full-time undergraduate
  • Produce a 400 word essay about the importance of the poultry industry to MS and its national and international impact.
  • Complete the application in full. All fields are required. Enter N/A for any field that does not apply to you.

 

FIRST FINANCIAL BANK SCHOLARSHIPS

First Financial Bank (FFB) awards two scholarships to junior students pursuing degrees in poultry science with the intent to pursue careers in the poultry industry. These FFB scholarships are awarded annually. The deadline for all scholarship applications is February 28, 2026. 

Scholarships are awarded to deserving students who meet the academic criteria described below. Extra points are awarded to Mississippi residents and to students whose families are poultry growers with FFB financing. The scholarships are awarded as follows:

First Place: $500 in fall and in spring semesters; total $1,000
Second Place: $250 in fall and in spring semesters; total $500

Students applying for the FFB Scholarship must be:

  • Currently enrolled at Mississippi State University as a full-time undergraduate
  • A Poultry Science major
  • A junior in the year in which the scholarship is awarded

 

First South Farm Credit Scholarships

First South Farm Credit (FSFC) awards two scholarships to rising junior or rising senior students pursuing degrees in poultry science with the intent to pursue careers in the poultry industry. These FSFC scholarships are awarded annually. The deadline for all scholarship applications is February 28, 2026. 

Scholarships are awarded to deserving students who meet the academic criteria described below. Extra points are awarded to students whose families are poultry growers with FSFC financing. The scholarships are awarded as follows:

Two students awarded $1,000 each

Students applying for the FSFC Scholarship must:

  • Be currently enrolled at Mississippi State University as a full-time undergraduate
  • Be a Poultry Science Major
  • Be a rising junior or senior in the year in which the scholarship is awarded
  • Have at least a 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale
